What is the Teams product?

Calm for Teams offers small groups and employers of 5-100 members the opportunity to purchase Calm for their community at a discounted rate. Our Teams product provides each member of your Team with access to Calm’s entire library of premium content on an annual basis. Additionally, the Team Administrator will have access to our Calm Partner Portal for simple member access and subscription management, as well as comprehensive engagement resources.

If you purchased our Teams product before January 27, 2021, these FAQs do not apply to you. Please reach out to our support team for any assistance.

How is Teams different from purchasing Calm for Business?

Teams is a Calm for Business product offered to organizations between 5 and 100 members. Our Teams option offers a self-serve experience where a Team’s Admin is able to manage the members of the Team and the subscription details from within their Team’s Calm Partner Portal.

Standard Calm for Business is for organizations over 100 covered lives. If you are interested in purchasing Calm for more than 100 people, please fill out our form to book a demo here.

How is a Teams plan billed?

When a Team is created, the payment method provided at checkout will be billed as one up-front payment for the full year at the time of purchase. The subscription is activated immediately and set to automatically renew at the end of each annual billing period.

At this time, we are only offer annual plans for our Teams product and cannot bill monthly.

Additionally, we do not offer billing by usage for Teams. We encourage you to survey your organization’s interest to determine the optimum number of seats for your Team. During the year, you can change the ownership of a specific seat or increase the number of seats on your team at any time though the number of seats cannot be decreased.

What payment methods can be used?

We accept most major credit and debit cards through our website, though cannot offer invoicing or payment by check for a Teams plan.

How much does it cost to purchase the Teams product?

The cost of our Teams product plan is based on the number of seats you hope to purchase. Purchasing more seats will lead to a larger discount offer. Although pricing is specific to your Team’s size, here are estimates as guidance:
  • 10 seats: $595.20 (15% discount)
  • 25 seats: $1308.50 (25% discount)
  • 50 seats: $2,258.00 (35% discount)
  • 75 seats: $2,848.50 (45% discount)
  • 100 seats: $3,080.00 (56% discount)

When does access to Calm begin for the covered lives?

After completing your purchase, you will be redirected to Calm Partner Portal where you will be provided instructions for getting started. In the Calm Partner Portal, you will upload your list of eligible team member email addresses. As soon as the file is uploaded, those employees will be able to activate their Calm Premium access through your Team’s unique URL. You will also be offered suggestions for how to communicate the activation instructions with your employees.

Can I change who is on my team in the middle of a subscription?

Yes, you are able to upload a new eligibility file at any time in order to adjust the members of your Team. The members that are no longer on the list will lose access to Calm Premium provided through your Team at the end of the current month. New members on the eligibility file will be able to activate their Calm Premium access using your Team’s unique URL immediately. Please note that if a new eligibility list exceeds the number of purchased seats on your Team, you will be prompted to adjust your plan.

Can I add additional covered lives later in the year?

Yes, Team Admins are able to add additional seats to their team at a prorated rate from within the Calm Partner Portal. Please note that you will not be able to decrease the amount of covered lives once the purchase is complete.

Does my Teams plan automatically renew?

Yes, Team subscription plans are set to renew yearly. After purchasing, the auto-renewal can be disabled at any time from within your Calm Partner Portal.

Can I see how my team is using the app? Do you offer analytics?

In mid-2021, we will update our Calm Partner Portal, accessed by Team Admins, to include aggregated member sign-up and engagement data. Although this will not be immediately available to those who purchase a Teams plan, we are committed to bringing an analytics dashboard to our Teams product soon.

Can I test out the Calm product before purchasing for my organization?

We’d be happy to offer you the opportunity to explore Calm Premium for 7 days. You can activate your 7-day gift here.

On that page, click 'Get Started'. You'll then be directed to a page where you can create a Calm account if you do not have one yet. If you already have a Calm account, click the 'Login' button and sign in to your account.

Once you're logged in, the 7-day trial will be active on your account. At the end of the trial period, you will not be charged, but the content will become locked for you again until you purchase a subscription.
